The Stone Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Company located in McAlevy's Fort, Huntingdon County, PA serves approximately 1,430 residents in Jackson and Miller Townships providing Fire and EMS protection.
We have 20 active members, one junior, and 12 social members.
Currently, we have five pieces of equipment consisting of a 1994 Freightliner Engine, 2003 New Lexington Rescue, 1999 International Tanker, 1999 Ford QRS/Rescue Unit, and a 1998 Chevrolet Brush Truck.
Last year we responded to 122 medical and 111 fire calls. We provide mutual aid to the surrounding companies and areas of Oneida, Barree, West, and Henderson Townships. We also work in conjunction with Huntingdon County Emergency Management Agency when needed.
At the present time, we have four members with Firefighter I, one First Responder and eight EMTs. Our members are trained in structural firefighting, brush fires, vehicle rescue, rope rescue, water rescue, HAZMAT responder level, fire police, bus rescue, silo fire, farm related emergencies, and other emergency medical services.
We are grateful to the Supervisors of Jackson and Miller Townships for the support given to us, as well as the generosity of the residents of these townships.
